Credits normally should only be applied for full service outages over 24 hours and speeds are not guaranteed based on terms of service and user agreement. If you contact them often, notes or indications of your efforts will be noted in one way or another. Just my 2 cents on credit, but in my experience it is way easier to call or reach out via FB/twitter and let them know of the issue then followup and keep contact regularly for ongoing repeated issues and then request credit for blocks of days affected(lump sum or combine all the times it was slow into a full or few days of credit) rather than individually every time you make contact(within 30 days of the issues). If they are telling you it is off-network problems you can normally run a trace route when direct to the modem to see where the issues are on the path to the sites or servers you get issues with. You can't stream on 30mbps up? You doing 8k streams or something!? Mediacom is internet access, but they aren't the internet. Honestly some of the worse experiences i have had. Im close to calling corporate and see if this cant be resolved aswell as file a complaint against the supervisor who attacked every word i spoke Im not trying to be a pain in the ass, but i want stable internet, and so far the past 3 months have been anything but. He was like well i see you got 200$ worth of credit are you trying to scam us, Nope what? i only ever asked for the credits to be applied for the time i was having constant outages until they came out to fix the internet, ive had 2 boxes replaced thats not the issue either the only reason i paid for the package was to be able to stream and i cant do that its so unstable He said "well we dont Guarantee speeds after they leave are server" basically from northern california, to Phx Arizona, mind you my package is 1k down 50 up, Im using the websites actual speed test network and its never above 30 up and always low. So past almost 3 months ive had constant Low upload speeds, Ive had multiple techs out here aswell, theres "always" something going on with the signal from my box to the pole, Supervisor comes out and was very rude like im trying to waste there time, when i want my advertised speeds i pay alot of money for the max internet package, i want that speed.
